Brief
Three new, sustainability focussed, high performance 3 level, 3-bed townhouses (circa 150m2 each) delivered for an off shore based NZ property investor as long term rental units. Features included 45 degree roofs constructed with energy-efficient SIP's panels, thermally broken joinery with low E glazing, commercial grade wool carpets, water efficient plumbing fixtures, solar power and rainwater harvesting and reuse to WC’s, laundries and outdoor irrigation.
All achieved on a sub-700m2 Westmere site with associated public infrastructure upgrade works for both storm water and sewerage outside of the site boundary. The sustainability commitment included relocating the original 1950's-built dwelling to a site in New Lynn and the full refurbishment of this older home.
WAH provided design and project management services once the Resource Consent for the initial scheme had been obtained. Our end to end construction services included applying for and obtaining the CCC and obtaining the Healthy Homes Certification for each dwelling.
